From software development to building and running enterprise networks

We design and develop software around each client's work, then build and maintain the networks it needs to run reliably. We also supply products and provide on-site technical support as part of the same service. This page introduces the systems we have developed and the enterprise IT work we currently undertake.

SOFTWARE
DEVELOPMENT

We understand your work and take responsibility for running the system

When off-the-shelf packages do not fit the job, we build software for the client's environment. We handle the full process: requirements, design, development, delivery, operation, and maintenance. The products below were developed and supplied by us.

Software we developed and supplied, with development dates
ProductPeriodDescription
NRMS2017 Monitors network equipment and servers. Supplied for installation on the client's premises or as a hosted service under an application service provider (ASP) model.
FOMC2018 Implements the client's process for creating, approving, and managing security policies.
Franchise management information system2016–2018 Automates branch sales closing, employee attendance, payroll, incentives, and membership settlement between branches. We also ran the system for the client after delivery.
Automated configuration tool driven by security logs2019–present Analyzes logs from security equipment and automatically applies network switch settings. Used in deployment and maintenance work.

NRMS (Network Response Monitoring System) — Checking whether services are actually available

The existing NMS could show whether equipment responded, but it was difficult to tell whether users could actually access the services. Its installation also depended on a particular operating system.

We built the management interface to run in a standard web browser, reducing its dependence on the operating system of the administrator's endpoint. A separate background program collects status information. We also devised and implemented a way to check whether services were actually usable.

Enterprise IT, network deployment, and technical support

INFRASTRUCTURE
NETWORK

We design wired, wireless, and security networks together

We designed an integrated network for every floor of a new headquarters, supplied the products, deployed the network, and provided technical support and maintenance. Each wired, wireless, and security device has its own role. We plan service paths and operational responsibilities across the entire network.

Our work continues after deployment. On-site experience has taught us to trace where a failure started and to spot settings that could cause problems later.

From design to operation

1
Network design for your work and environment

We plan address ranges and equipment placement around the work and the number of users. We also decide how to divide the subnets at this stage.

2
Product selection, supply, and on-site deployment

We select and supply products that fit the design, then install and configure them on site.

3
Monitoring, incident response, and change support

After deployment, we continue to support monitoring, incident response, and changes.

Integrated enterprise IT maintenance — Our current work

We currently provide integrated maintenance for the IT infrastructure throughout a client's building. Our responsibilities cover the following areas.

Enterprise IT infrastructure we currently maintain
AreaWhat we manage
Backbone networkThe central network where the building's traffic converges. We manage redundancy and monitor its condition to keep failures from spreading to every floor.
Wireless networkConnection quality by floor and area, channel interference, and the number of simultaneous connections.
Access networkThe network where users' endpoints connect. We manage device port settings and separate address ranges for different business functions.
Firewalls and securityPolicies at the boundary between internal and external communications. We review accumulated rules and remove entries that are no longer needed.

Because we are responsible for the whole network, we can trace failures across its boundaries instead of stopping at one team's segment. This reduces repeated checks between teams and keeps the focus on restoring service.

IT product supply

SUPPLY
PRODUCTS

We select products for your environment and provide ongoing support

We supply network, security, and computer products for enterprise environments. We handle product selection, installation, configuration, and technical support.

Ongoing supply as an approved supplier

We are registered as an approved supplier and deliver IT products to our clients. These are ongoing business relationships established through the supplier registration process.

What we learn from installation and operation informs the next product selection. The requirements and problems we encounter while maintaining an environment guide what we supply next.

Connecting software development with infrastructure

CAPABILITY
1
Software grounded in network experience

Drawing on our experience designing and running networks on site, we build software to manage those assets.

2
Web interfaces that are not tied to one operating system

We use database and web technologies to build management and monitoring interfaces that work in a standard web browser.

3
Background tools for repetitive work

Background tools built in Python automate repeated checks and status collection.

4
Showing results as soon as they are ready

We connect the web interface to the programs doing the work so that results appear as soon as they are ready.

Putting this experience into public tools

BRIDGE

Dividing networks into subnets, checking IP address ranges, configuring switching and routing, converting log timestamps, analyzing logs, and comparing file hashes are tasks we have performed repeatedly in the field.

At imbizcorp.com, we turn the calculations and checks that can run on the web into browser-based tools that need no installation.

Alongside each tool, we provide articles explaining the calculations and how to interpret the results, so users can understand them and apply them at work.

Client names — We describe the work we have performed, but do not disclose client names covered by contractual confidentiality obligations.
